In recent news FSA (Financial Services Administration) in the UK has decided to act on complaints about health insurance comparison sites. They have received complaints about several offending sites on the web. These websites listed false information and or not enough information about the benefits that came with each plan offered. Some of the information provided by sites was downrite misleading. FSA had reviewed these sites between 2005-2007 and had them on watch lists for later review. As a result new requirements and standards are being developed.

Americans don’t need to worry. Comparison sites in the United States have fairly reliable information on them. Insurance agents and brokers are regulated by each states own insurance department.
